Once you have access to SOS Intelligence, get setup straight away! Watch the video below to see how easy it is.
The problem is not going away. Cyber threats are increasing on a daily basis. Every sector in the UK is recording more incidents.
Remember that you can manage notifications as well so worth ensuring you configure this for your needs 🙂
0:00 Hello, welcome to the SOS Intelligence Digital Risk Monitoring Service. I’m Amir. I’m the CEO and founder of the company, and I’d like to personally welcome you as a UK nonprofit onto our platform.
0:13 This video will serve as a very quick introduction into the ha, into what we do in the service that we provide, and make sure that you can make the most of what we, what we are offering you.
0:23 When you signed up. The first thing that we did is use your email domain and set that as a key word for alerting.
0:30 This means that going forward, if we’ve made any matches, alerts will go into the alerts table, but also we’ve done a retrospective check against that email domain across our breach database and, and other databases.
0:43 Over a billion or so records have been checked. In the alerts table, you will see at least one record and that will be the example alert.
0:54 The example alert just gives you information how you can navigate around the alerts table. If we had matched something, you will see one or more other alerts very quickly.
1:06 An alert, alert segment is set up as the alert collection type. This is what we call how we collect it.
1:13 That information, the original URL of where we pull this information from the keyword label, this is what we called or you called your keyword.
1:23 In this case it’s just a demo, nonprofit email address and most importantly, the actual raw content of the alert. In this case, it appears to have been a log from a phishing website where Steve appears to have also been phished.
1:38 You can see the email address and password. If this was a live incident, we would ask that you check with the individual and make sure that that is their current password.
1:48 And if it is the password should probably be changed very quickly. In addition to this information, you can download this alert content as of raw and add it to any incident management report you may do.
2:00 Please also vote the, you vote the alert if it’s useful or provide us feedback if you thought it wasn’t. And also once you’ve completed that assessment and triage, please also mark that alert as acknowledged.
2:16 Then this will remove it from the alert counts. If you have other domains that you would like to add or email domains or any other web addresses or for instance your company name, for example, demo non-profit, you can go into the manage keywords, add keywords, sub-function, and add that into the platform.
2:44 So we recommend that once you’ve checked out a platform initially to add any additional domain names and email domains that you might have, and this will ensure that we will continue to provide coverage of those going forward if we do see any matches.
3:00 Once again, I’d really like to thank you for signing up to our plan. I hope that we can provide you some useful alerts and thank you again for your time.
